Coronavirus Relief Funds (CRF) Plan

  • Chief Finance Officer
    County of Moore

I would like to know if anyone will be willing to share their Coronavirus Relief Funds (CRF) plan with our County.  We would like to see how other counties are allocating their funds, and if you are distributing the funds to your municipalities, then which method are you using.  Thanks in advance for your help.

Most of our distributrion will go towards personnel costs.  We plan to use a portion of the CRF as reimbursement to municipalities for any direct COVID-19 costs.  That way we can be sure they are eligible expenditures.  We did not receive any specific requests from our munis.  We had a Zoom meeting with mayors and explained the CRF restrictions and our intention to offer reimbursement of certain of their out-of-pocket costs.

I am proposing to account for our CRF distribution in a special revenue fund, like we do for the Emergency Telephone System Fund monies.
